Result

Created the visual identity and launch website direction for a new employment law firm, establishing a brand presence that balanced legal authority with warmth, clarity, and trust.

Opportunity

This project was an opportunity to creatively develop a visual identity for a new law firm from the ground up. Beyond designing a logo and website, the work required translating the founders’ approach to employment law into a visual and digital experience that could build trust, create emotional safety, and support a professional launch on a tight timeline. It was also a chance to develop a scalable foundation that could grow alongside the firm as its services, team, and content expand.

VISUAL IDENTITY
EXTENSION OF PERSONALITY

Confidence to Break Free

A key challenge was developing a legal brand that communicated credibility without relying on the conventional visual cues of authority. Rather than echoing the traditional, corporate feel common among law firms in Toronto, the identity needed to reflect a more human and personal approach—one rooted in trust, experience, and approachability. The design had to feel like an extension of the client’s personalities: knowledgeable, warm, grounded, and credible. The result needed to feel established and professional, while offering a more welcoming alternative for clients seeking support through difficult workplace issues.

Capturing Authenticity

The photography needed to carry that same balance. Beyond polished professional portraits, the imagery had to communicate warmth, relatability, and character. Incorporating personal details, including her rescue dogs, became a way to express the founder’s personality and reinforce the firm’s approachable tone. The challenge was ensuring those elements added humanity and distinction while still maintaining the level of professionalism expected in the legal space.

Working with Nicholas was an essential part of bringing our firm to life. He helped translate our vision into a brand identity and website that exceeded our expectations.
